The method
How the Eden Willow audit works
An evidence-led improvement process designed around the realities of independent hospitality: proportionate, practical and free of unnecessary complexity.
- 01
Discovery
We listen first: the business, its context, the improvement question and whether Eden Willow is genuinely the right fit. Discovery is qualification and listening, not free consultancy.
- 02
Scope & Preparation
We agree what will be assessed, what is excluded, the practical logistics and the outcome you need from the work.
- 03
Experience the Business
We experience the agreed customer journey and capture evidence discreetly, under conditions that are fair to the business and the team.
- 04
Analyse the Evidence
Observation is separated from assumption and assessed through the Performance Framework so findings reflect the whole experience, not isolated details.
- 05
Build the Improvement Report
Evidence is converted into strengths, findings, priorities and practical recommendations that respect your time, budget and operational capacity.
- 06
Improvement Conversation
A structured conversation explaining what matters, why it matters and what to do next — so decisions are owned by you, not handed over in a document.
- 07
Implement & Review
Where it is useful, we re-observe or benchmark after enough implementation time has passed to answer a real improvement question.
Outcome principle
A long report is not the outcome. Decision clarity is.
Evidence before opinion. Clarity over complexity. We observe and understand before reaching a conclusion, then make the priorities and next steps clear.
What we will never do
- · Arrive with a predetermined judgement or a template verdict.
- · Produce a long list of observations to make a report look substantial.
- · Recommend further work where a simpler owner or management action would solve the issue.
- · Name or expose individual team members unnecessarily.
- · Recommend changes your business does not have the capacity to sustain.
A considered next step
Begin with an honest conversation
A short, honest conversation about your business and what you want to understand better. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
